The
MDS-5 is our high-energy degausser designed to erase all formats of audio, digital and video media up to 2400 oersteds.The Garner MDS-5 Professional Degausser is designed to handle all formats of cassettes and tape reels up to 16 inches in diameter and up to 2400 oersteds. With the option to choose between two degaussing field strengths, the MDS-5 is like having two degaussers in one. The first one being a continuous duty degausser for erasing formats such as VHS, diskettes and audiocassettes. The second being an intermittent duty degausser with a stronger degaussing field designed to erase high coercivity tapes such as DLT, Beta SP, D2-D5, M-II, and all Digital Video tape formats.
